The diocese offers several opportunities and ideas to encourage pro-life advocacy in your parish community.

Office of Pro-Life Ministries - Our mission is to promote and implement the Pastoral Plan for Pro-Life Activities sponsored the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.  The Plan focuses on four major areas: Prayer, Education, Pastoral Care,  Public Policy. Brochure

Speakers - We offer presentations on chastity, pro-life, end of life, the death penalty and stem cell research. We ask that you fill out a Speaker/s Request Form

Vine and Branches - The mission of the Vine & Branches Committee, through the grace of God and working in conjunction with the Diocesan Office of Pro-Life Activities, is to seek and implement effective and cohesive ways to transform and communicate the tenets of the USCCB Pastoral Plan into action by parish life communities. National Life Chain - Annually, on the first Sunday in October, Life Chain invites the churches in each city and town across North America to bear witness in the public arena to raise awareness of the Sanctity of Life. Stand on a designated local sidewalk and pray for one hour, while holding one of the following approved pro-life sign messages:  List of parishes participating
Parish is responsible to order their own signs, you can order online at or you download the PDF form return the completed form to Life Support by mail (PO Box 270068 Fort Collins, CO 80527) or by fax (719-785-5775).

Respect Life Program 2019-20 - This year's theme is "Christ Our Hope In Every Season of Life " Created by the USCCB, this program is implemented throughout the Diocese through parish coordinators and priests. Call the Pro-Life Office if your parish needs an updated Respect Life Program. Limit one per parish.

Elizabeth Ministry - The Elizabeth Ministry is an outreach to women in special times of motherhood. The purpose of this ministry is to affirm, support, encourage and assist women in response to their needs during the childbearing years. Empowered by the Holy Spirit and through our Baptismal call, we come as friends and peer counselors to provide comfort and encouragement through our own life experiences. Brochure

Protecting Life - The Western New York Coalition for Life is an ecumenical program dedicated to respecting the dignity and protection of human life from the moment of fertilization to natural death. Disabilities Action Team - The Diocesan Council for Persons with Disabilities is an advisory council which communicates to the bishop on issues and activities related to the spiritual needs of persons with disabilities and their families throughout the Diocese. Members of this council are appointed by the Bishop and consist of persons with disabilities and their advocates. Bishop Head initiated this council in 1975.
